Description
The Sine Saloum delta is made up of 200 islets covered with mangroves. One of the most productive biomass ecosystems on our planet, which has been classified since 1981 as a World Biosphere Reserve. The site lists more than 250 species of birds, pelicans, herons, egrets, royal terns, teals, mocking gulls, etc. The best way to explore the delta (334,000 ha) remains the motorized canoe which allows islets and observe the birds. If you wish to give a “solidarity” character to your excursion, the excursion includes stops in a bush village and a visit to its school. You can then bring your notebooks and pens to the children.
